The Assumption of the Blessed Mary – Solemnity: Father Orsi TV

(Naples, FL, MariaNews.com) On August 15, 2011 the new academic year began for students at Ave Maria School of Law (AMSL). Over 180 new students began their studies and over 300 students returned from their summer break.

August 15 was also a special day for the Church as it was the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary. Father Michael Orsi, the Chaplin at AMSL welcomed the new year with a beautiful Mass and Homily dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Fr. Orsi shared a story about a picture that his mother owned.  The picture was of the Blessed Pope John Paul II being held by the Virgin Mary after he was shot.   “And Never Forget, with Mary on your side you will never fail” “Just as she held the Great John Paul in her arms, she too will always hold you.”
