Election 2012: Newt Gingrich Email to Supporters “My Profound Gratitude”

(Election 2012) –  2012 Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich sent an email to supporters today, thanking them for their support along the campaign trail.   Former Speaker of the House Gingrich has performed well in recent debates, but is still trailing current front-runners Cain, Perry and Romney.

Here is the email from Newt Gingrich: 

Dear Friend and Supporter,

I wanted to take a few moments to give you a personal update from the campaign trail and to offer you a heartfelt thank you! Washington pundits have mocked this historically substantive and positive campaign for not playing by the media’s rules, but the American people are responding with enthusiasm.

The American people are not only tired of the failed policies of big government, they are disgusted with the erosion of our political discourse and the superficial nature of the modern election process. I will continue to show respect for the intelligence of the American people by exposing the absurdity of a political discourse that demands solutions to an issue as complex as healthcare in thirty seconds.

I always say that I want people to stand with me, not for me, and I am so grateful for all of you who have chosen to stand with this campaign. I not only need your support throughout this campaign, but I also need you as we tackle the immense problems our nation faces.

This week our campaign is trying to raise one million dollars and we are already more than halfway there. When you contribute to this campaign, you can be assured that instead of being used for :30 personal attack ads, your donation will be use to advance the substance of our national discussion.
