Rob’s Reflections: Politicians, media members, judges, lobbyists, professors and many other members of “the wise and the learned” in our culture of death go to great lengths to convince us that abortion is not only okay, but also a service to society and a validation of a woman’s rights. Imagine those same wise and learned people trying to explain the morality of abortion to a child. The mind recoils at the idea. Why? Because we know in our hearts abortion is wrong. It takes the convoluted, rationalizing, wise and learned logic of adulthood to justify surgically invading a mother’s womb and destroying the child that rests there. An action the childlike among us see for what it is…an intrinsic evil.
Faith Challenge: Commit to what God has revealed to our childlike selves. The next time you are explaining the immorality of abortion, imagine a child in danger of abortion is standing there. Make your case with a loving zeal knowing childlike ears are listening and relying on your conviction.
