Please Pray for Walton Donnie Hood III – My Granddad

Dear MariaNews.com Readers,
Please keep in your prayers Walton Donnie Hood III who is currently in a hospital in Houston, Texas.
(Don) as he is known to friends and (Granddad) as he is known to me has been suffering with leukemia. Recently he has experienced some complications associated with the treatment and is in a great deal of pain.
My Granddad is a strong and virtuous man. If anyone can make it through this – it is him!
He is married to his high school sweet heart Lola Kay (who I know as Mimi). Don and Lola Kay both worked in education and have touched the lives of thousands over the course of 50 plus years in service to their community.
Don was inducted into the Texas Band Masters Hall of fame in 2008. Among his many accomplishments he is an incredibly humble and compassionate man.
I am especially close to my Granddad – he and Mimi have been extremely influential in my life.
Please pray for his recovery, for his strength and for the strength of our family!
