NAPLES – Linda Goldfield of Planned Parenthood of Florida sent out a scathing email to supporters yesterday. In the email Goldfield claimed that her staff had been harassed by “anti-choice extremists.”
Goldfield claimed that “over 200 priests, nuns, elementary school children [and] church parishioners” were among those “harassing [her] staff and patients.”
Ms. Goldfield, are you really claiming that elementary school children, priests and nuns are harassing you? Really?
TheFreeDictionary.com gives three definitions for “harass”; (i) to irritate or torment persistently, (ii) to wear out; exhaust, (iii) to impede and exhaust (an enemy) by repeat attacks or raids.
I suppose seeing elementary school children, priests and nuns standing together and praying would be tormenting to some….. and perhaps even “exhausting.” (Mark 3:11 comes to mind)
Pro-lifers hardly believe our prayers and side-walk counseling would amount to an “attack” or “raid”.
In fact and to the contrary we pray for love and healing. We pray for conversion of heart and understanding. Last, we pray for peace.
If any one is attacked during the 40 Days for Life Campaigns it would be those praying. There are countless stories of people screaming profane words, extending a certain undesirable finger, throwing things, and even trying to run people down with their cars. These cases of radical hate often times go untold. I have yet to see a mainstream media outlet cover a story of actual attack on pro-life vigil participants.
Ms. Goldfield seeks to use the 40 Days for Life Campaign as an opportunity to generate donations. Pledge-a-Picketer is a Planned Parenthood campaign were donors pledge a dollar amount based on the number of “picketers”.
Ms. Goldfield claims to be about giving “you options”. If that is the case than why not embrace the diversity? Why not embrace life as the alternative way of thinking? Why not support the people praying outside as another “option”? Why not? Because sadly Ms. Goldfield. along with so many others, does not understand the truth. They have been blinded by a world that is upside down.
Ms. Goldfield, we are praying for your conversion. That you will join us and see the truth.
SIMPLE FACTS: Abortion kills an innocent child. Abortion hurts women and destroys families. Margaret Sanger who started Planned Parenthood believed in Eugenics. (Look it up)

Here is Ms. Goldfield’s email:
Our health center is surrounded today by over 200 priests, nuns, elementary school children, local church parishioners and anti-choice extremists, harassing our patients and staff. They are taunting us with promise of their presence for the next 40 days and 40 nights in order to shut us down. Of course they won’t but enough is enough!
Show your support today and pledge money for our Pledge–A-Picket. Sponsor a protestor and turn anti-choice pickets into pro-choice victories by joining Planned Parenthood of Collier County’s Pledge-A-Picket campaign.
What is Pledge-a-Picket? It’s a donation program where you can pledge to contribute a dollar amount based on the number of picketers that show-up at our health center during the next 40 days. And because we’re about giving you options, through our Pledge-a-Picket program, you can also choose to contribute a straight dollar amount instead of pledging per picketer.
Donations will help subsidize preventive care for low-income women – making the picketers’ presence work toward expanding access to reproductive health care, rather than limiting it. The program is a no-win situation for the protesters because the more who show up to picket outside our health centers, the more donations we receive.
Your donation - no matter the size - will send a message to our patients and health center staff that the community supports them, and that the protestors’ tactics don’t work. Stand with Planned Parenthood and show your support.

It was fun watching the elementary school children cheering at everything while carrying signs a long Goodlette Frank. They would cheer when peoplehonked in support and when people would yell or display a negative attitude.
