U.S. Sec. of Commerce John Bryson charged with felony hit-and-run in LA
U.S. Secretary of Commerce John Bryson was charged with felony hit-and-run by the L.A. County Sherriff’s Department after a bizarre series of apparently deliberate crashes this past weekend.
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that he apparently rear-ended a Buick waiting for a train to pass. A few minutes later he left the scene and then struck the Buick again. Authorities found him alone and unconscious behind the wheel of his car.

John Bryson was appointed by President Obama as the 37th Secretary of Commerce. He was the Chairman and CEO of Edison International for 18 years.
According the Commerce.gov, Secretary Bryson “is a key member of President Obama’s economic team working to implement the administration’s top economic priority: accelerating job creation.”
