Epic short film “Test of Fire” approaches 2 million views
( MariaNews.com ) – The Test of Fire by non-profit Catholic’s Called to Witness has received over 1.7 million views on Youtube.com. Test of Fire film is an epic, three minute long wake-up call for Catholic voters in the United States. So how should Catholics vote?
So how should Catholics vote?
With election time right around the corner it is essential that Catholics understand the issues.
EWTN has a resource called “A Brief Catechism for Catholic Voters” which was written by Father Stephen F. Torraco, Phd.
On the issue of whether or not it is permissible to vote for a pro-abortion candidate, Fr. Stephen writes “If a political candidate supported abortion, or any other moral evil, such as assisted suicide and euthanasia, for that matter, it would not be morally permissible for you to vote for that person.”
Other issues addressed in Fr’s guide to voting include:
Is it morally permissible to vote for all candidates of a single party?
If I think that a candidate who is pro-abortion has better ideas to serve the poor, and the pro-life candidate has bad ideas that will hurt the poor, why may I not vote for the candidate that has the better ideas for serving the poor?
What if none of the candidates are completely pro-life?
