Holy Week, 2011

Palm Sunday began Holy Week as as we gathered palms and recalled Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jeruselam. We find ourselves outside of time as we join with the mobs of adoring fans trying to get a glimpse of the now famous Jesus. His disciples must have felt great pride to be in the company of the man whose message seemed to be gathering momentum, perhaps culminating in a wonderful victory. Did they imagine that state of adulation continuing, with promise of wealth and fame for themselves?
