Last Friday, Facebook and Microsoft were permitted to release some basic information about their involvement with the NSA and the government. Facebook said it was asked to provide data on 18,000 to 19,000 users and Microsoft received 7,000 such orders.

The “My Confessor” app, currently only available for users in the Madison, Wisconsin area lets Android and iPhone users know when they can lift the burden off of their hearts. The app also allows busy Catholic priests to update their statuses from their phones. Creator Father Richard Heilman says the app is intended to address the priest shortage and improve time management.

The question arises. How safe would a mission to Mars really be? Long periods of space travel, perhaps years in a cramp compartment with no breakdown cover, future spacemen will need to acknowledge that their bodies will be zapped by high-energy particles, raising their risk of contracting cancer and other ill effects of radiation. Even then, the will to explore will remain and travel to other worlds will continue regardless.
