My story starts as that of so many Catholics: I was born and raised in a Catholic family. I went to private Catholic schools most of my life. And as so many others, as soon as I turned 18, I could barely wait to escape the requirement of Sunday Mass. I moved out, and only with occasional visits to Church, in which I was physically, but not emotionally or mentally present, I spent the next 20+ years away from my Church and away from my God.
