Are you afraid to witness in defense of the unborn and other victims of injustice? Are you afraid to take a stand in favor of the teachings of Jesus and against the popular currents of a secular culture destructive to life and family?
Perhaps the greatest tragedy of our age is that Catholics are becoming more and more unaware of the reality of who they are. God has given us the gift of participating in his life. It is clear that we should take an active part in that wondrous, sublime and unending reality. Others deserve to see, hear and experience our love for the truth of the Catholic Faith that they too may find the treasure buried in the field (Mt. 13:44 ff.).
A true witness of Christ will be someone who is also fearless. Fearless witnesses are those who have abandoned themselves to the loving friendship of Jesus. They trust his power and his presence. They know that the judgments of time will be corrected by the judgments of eternity. We are in dire need of men and women who will evangelize a difficult world by the witness of their lives. Will you be one?
